My mom did my homework

When I was a freshman in high school, I was in GT English. One of my assignments was to create a newspaper from the 1940s or 1950s. When I told my mom about it, she was very excited. She practically begged me to let her do the assignment for me. Of course I agreed!

My teacher, Mrs. Cronk, was extremely impressed with “my” work. The grade I got was 125! She showed the whole class and the other class period of GT English as well. My ex-husband, Michael, was in that other class and told me later how it pissed all the other students off. He was not impressed when I told him my mom did it for me!

Gaby’s 1st Birthday

We celebrated as a family at our house on Polk Street in Victoria. Just Marc, me, Cameron, Kevin, Logan, and Gabrielle.

We got her a cute little pink puppy dog cake just for her.

Kevin’s Busted Lips

Kevin only liked one kind of pacifier as a baby and toddler. It had to have a round bulb on the end. He liked sucking on it all day. He would run around with it in his mouth.

Frequently, he would fall and cut his lips on his pacifier. He did this one time when Marc and I took him and Cameron to the Lexington in Corpus Christi. Blood everywhere! Poor guy.
